Important Driving Tips
Toll Roads (AP-7 vs A-7)
The AP-7 is a fast toll road (Autopista) running along the coast. The A-7 is the free, but often busier, coastal road (Autovia).
Parking Colors
Look for blue lines (paid parking) or white lines (free parking). Avoid yellow lines! In major towns, using underground parking garages is highly recommended.
Speed Limits
Generally 120 km/h on highways, 90 km/h on rural roads, and 30-50 km/h in urban areas. Speed cameras are very common along the coast.
